Site Requirements
- Level ground within 1" variance across pool diameter
- Compacted sand or foam base (2-4" depth)
- Clear area 3-4 feet beyond pool perimeter
- Access for delivery truck with pool components
- Electrical: 20-amp GFCI outlet within 10 feet for pump
- Water source (garden hose) for filling
- HOA approval if applicable
- Permit may be required for 24"+ depth (check local codes)
Minnesota Climate
Carvin pools are built for Minnesota winters. The 52" steel and 54" aluminum wall options both feature protective coatings that resist corrosion from ice, snow, and salt. We recommend draining below the skimmer line and using a winter cover. The snap-in uprights and robust construction handle snow loads without buckling. Many customers keep their Carvin pools up year-round with proper winterization—no need for annual teardown.
